Textured Sweater

bebe boxy textured sweatshirt, Blue Asphalt denim, bebe stretch metal belt - similar here, Call It Spring booties - similar here and here, Coach purse from the poppy collection - no longer available

Happy Mondayyy! As of this week I am starting a new job tomorrow and as a result I'm going to adjust my weekly postings. Instead of posting Tuesday and Friday, I'll be posting Monday and Friday as now I'll have weekends off for the most part. Anyways, on to the post!

I am currently obsessed with this sweater that I just purchased from bebe. This mixed texture sweatshirt is comfortable and lightweight which is absolutely perfect for this time of year. While we're just switching over to spring weather some days are a bit chilly so I need to stay warm but not anything all that heavy. I first fell in love with this sweater when I saw the different prints on it; the chest is covered in textured polka dots while the sleeves have this very cool zig-zag/swirl design going on. Plus it has a unique shape which they describe as "boxy" on the website. In my opinion, the different shape has brought the armpits a bit lower and wider thereby also making the sleeves a bit wider until they meet just below the elbow. It's so unique and I am in love!

As this sweater has so much detail on its own I just paired it with a dark denim, a simple silver and black belt, and these cute ankle booties with cutouts on the side. Each piece has a unique cut to it which is what brings the whole look together. I'm also wearing my favorite winter bag here which is from the Coach Poppy collection. This crossbody has a drawstring instead of a traditional zipper closure which makes it a bit more fun.

Hope you like the look! Do you have any favorite funky and unique pieces? Let me know in the comments below!

Floral Print & Shades of Blue

Heritage 1981 Cardigan - similar here, Superdry dress - similar here and here, bebe leggings, Steve Madden heels - similar here, vintage necklace, bebe gift with purchase clutch

The weekend is almost here! Hope your week has been going well.

Today's look is something I put together as an option for a BBQ I'll be going to this weekend. You heard right, BBQ at the start of spring when it was just 25 degrees out the other day! Let's hope that it warms up and that it doesn't rain this weekend *fingers crossed*

For this look I wanted to wear something floral (the theme is a "southern" frat BBQ so I thought that floral print would be a good option) Since it's still cold I paired the dress with this cardigan and some leggings because it is waaaaay too short on me. The pattern of the dress is a bit busy so I added a simple gold necklace and wedge heels, but for the event I may go with pearls to stick with the southern sorority girl image. Of course I needed to add this California clutch to make me think of warmer weather.

Hope you like the look, and thanks for reading!

Tribal Cropped Jacket

bebe tribal cropped jacket, Michael Stars tank top - similar cut here, American Eagle denim - similar here, Steve Madden Wedges - similar here

Happy Tuesday!!!

I hope you're all doing well and enjoyed the weekend! Today's post is all about this super cute tribal cropped jacket that I got from bebe. I had been obsessing over it for a few weeks and finally got my hands on it last Thursday. I really cannot wait to wear it out as it gets a bit warmer! The print, although technically tribal, is really sophisticated. It's definitely appropriate for a business casual day at work as well as your day to day life. It even comes with matching shorts! I cannot wait to wear this business casual suiting combo, possibly for 4th of July! In the final shot I gave you a side view of the jacket to show off some of it's details and exactly why I am so obsessed with it.

Have you recently purchased anything that you cannot stop thinking about? What about a favorite piece that you always like to wear? Let me know about it in the comments below!

Spring Hues: Pastels & Nudes

Top c/o Tome, H&M blazer, Loft pants - similar here, BCBGeneration heels - seen here, Juicy Couture necklace, bebe hoops, Steve Madden drop earrings

Hi all and happy Friday! Thankfully the weekend is almost here!

Today's look is inspired by the first day of spring so I wanted to focus on neutral tones and pastels. This silk blouse is great for the office or just a nice day out. I paired it with these nude slacks from Loft and nude heels from BCBGeneration. I tossed on a cream blazer from H&M to add another tone to the look as I wasn't going for something so monochromatic (although that could look really cute when done with a bright lip). Some gold accessories complete the look, I chose gold over silver as it has more of a warm tone and this look definitely says the weather is warming up :)

Hope you like it, and thanks for reading!

Harem Pants & Turquoise Accents

Uniqlo heat tech shirt, bebe harem pants - similar here, flatform sandals - similar here and here,  turquoise bracelet and necklace gifted from grandfather

Happy Tuesday!

Today's look is built around these harem pants, I love the funky print with shades of purple. When it comes to more flowy/baggy pants like this I like to balance the look with a more fitted top. Since the weather is still cold I paired it with this simple black long sleeve top from Uniqlo. I love wearing these pants with flatform sandals, especially these super strappy ones I got from DSW awhile back. To complete the look I added some turquoise accents with this bracelet and necklace that belonged to my grandfather.

Hope you like the look, and thanks for reading!!

Suiting & A Bold Lip

H&M blazer, Loft t-shirt - similar here and here, Vince Camuto pants - similar here, Vince Camuto heels, Francescas bag - similar here and here, Sephora lip gloss - from this collection similar color here

Hello and Happy Friday!

For today's look I really wanted to bring in some pops of color. I know the look is largely black, but I think it makes the bright shirt and lip shine that much more. I wanted a sleek look with a simple a and classic silhouette which I achieved by pairing these satin pants with a short blazer. I paired these different materials together because I think it adds more detail to the look in texture and tone. Simple black heels and a crossbody bag complete the look.

Hope you like the look and I'll see you all next week! As always, thanks for reading!

Fuzzy Sweater & Ripped Jeans

Hello hello! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

bebe fuzzy sweater cardigan, Loft short sleeve blouse - similar here and here, American Eagle denim - similar here, Vince Camuto heels, INC earrings, belt came with a dress

I've been dying to show off this amazing fuzzy cardigan I've have for a little while, but I wasn't quite sure how I wanted to do it. I initially purchased this goody to stay warm and look put together at work while I was sick at the start of winter. Since than, this sweater has been by my side through the coldest of days. I love the trend of fuzzy sweaters because it takes something traditional and makes it more unique and interesting. (Also, on a side note, please excuse my messy room. I'm in the midst of some rearranging!)

I usually pair this piece with more fitted items like skinny jeans or leggings with a fitted top as it is so baggy, but when cinched in a top this large can really be worn with almost anything. For today's look I paired it with these white ripped jeans and to add some color I paired it with this beautifully bright neon yellow top. I love this look because it's comfortable and yet put together. I could wear this to work or even for a day around town.

What's your opinion on the fuzzy sweater look and how do you like to wear baggier pieces? Let me know in the comments below!!

Casual Day Look: Leather Wrap Watch & Printed Denim

H&M blazer - similar here, Loft tank top, Cotton On denim - similar here, Jessica Carlyle watch, BCBGeneration heels - similar here

Happy Friday!! You've all made it through the week which means the weekend is finally here and you can kick back and relax. Today's post is just a casual day look great for a simple dinner, happy hour with the girls, or (since it's got some green in it) some mid-day St. Patty's Day festivities.

The one piece that I really built this outfit around was the watch which was gifted to me for my birthday. Since it has a brown band I wanted to try to stay away from black BUT that's always next to impossible for me. Luckily I have these funky palm tree print jeans, the green goes great with brown and gold but I still get my black in the backdrop of the print. I kind of have an obsession with collecting clothes that have cool prints and any time I pass on something I deeply regret it SO of course I ended up with these. I paired the look with a deep green tank and a dark navy blazer. To keep things simple I topped the look off with some nude pumps.

As always, thanks for reading!

Cheetah Print Skirt & Chambray Shirt

Hello and happy Tuesday!! Today's post is all about this cheetah print skirt I snagged at Loft this past summer. I haven't had the chance to wear it in so long with all of this cold weather, but the brief glimpse of warmer weather we had this weekend gave me some fashion inspiration.

American Eagle chambray button down, Loft skirt - similar here and here, Bar III blazer similar here and here, bebe necklace similar here and here, Forever 21 bracelet similar here and here, Jones New York hoops similar here and here, Tumi bag, Call It Spring booties - seen here

Have you ever gotten stuck in a fashion rut and just couldn't stop yourself from going to the same few pieces? Well that's been me lately, always turning to the same sweaters and everything black. Now I have nothing against all black everything, but you really can get yourself lost in the same few looks sometimes so it's nice to just take a look through your wardrobe and dig up older pieces.

This skirt is great for making a boring work outfit a bit more fun, or even for a day out. I went with a more casual look by pairing it with this chambray shirt but if you were to switch it out with a basic button down you'd be business ready. Personally, I love the look of a statement necklace tucked underneath a collared shirt. The one I've chosen has mixed metal so you're not stuck with just gold or silver accessories, and it has rhinestone details on the gold spikes for some added bling ;) I paired it with this woven bracelet from Forever 21 because it kind of reminded me of the cheetah print pattern. The mix of black and gold really plays off the print well. To finish the look I added some funky silver hoops, a basic blazer, and this fantastic briefcase from Tumi.

What do you do when you're stuck in a fashion rut? Tell me all about your inspirations in the comments below!
