I love the look of a classic white button down. So crisp and clean, it adds a level of sophistication to any look. It can be worn totally closed, as seen in my pictures, or with the top buttons undone which creates two entirely different looks. I think button downs are seen more as work attire, but they can do so much for your day to day wardrobe. My favorite look is to pair them with a pair of dark wash denim, but I went for something different in today's post and chose a khaki capri instead. Do you like the look of a white button down? Happy 4th of July everyone! I hope each of you has the chance to spend the day with family and friends. Today's look is all about the red, white and blue and being festive! I've had this amazing short suit set for some time now, and knew it would be a perfect way to dress up for the holiday! The jacket makes the look come together, but if I want something a bit more casual I can just take the jacket off and show off the details of these really cute shorts!

Of course since it is a national holiday I had to have at least one kind of cheesy piece to this outfit, so I chose these adorable american flag socks. Although you can't see the entirety of it, the foot part has red and white stripes while you have the stars on the ankles. Cute and fun, but not too much. To complete the look I wore my classic Chuck Taylors in white that have piping of red and blue around the sole of the shoe.

In celebration of Independence Day, this week's #WantItWednesday is red, white and blue themed!

For these hot summer days, nothing beats a sheer blouse. The drapey tank pictured above from bebe is great for a nice BBQ or even an evening party to celebrate the 4th of July.

These pleated shorts from Zara are a look I have been absolutely craving! I love that you can't really tell if it's a pair of shorts of possibly even a pleated skirt. The mystery about it, along with it's clean lines is why I am lusting over it.

The white tank top from Zara is great because it mixes textures. A white tank can get pretty boring, but when worn in new cuts and textures it suddenly has a new life.

Chunky shoes are one of my favorite go to's and that is why I love these boots from Tiharose Boutiqe. The openings make it perfect for the warmer weather while you still get the edgy appeal from the ankle strap and platform.

Clearly I'm really loving Zara right now, and I have not been able to get this faux leather jacket in a baby blue off my mind. I know it is way too warm for it right now but how much do you love this color?! The pastel color makes this traditionally edgy look a lot more feminine. 

My last selection for #WantItWednesday is this cute blue and white flare dress from Jaci Boutique. It can be dressed down with flat sandals or boat shoes, and dressed up with heels making it great for a casual BBQ or a night out.

Textured Sweater

Happy Mondayyy! As of this week I am starting a new job tomorrow and as a result I'm going to adjust my weekly postings. Instead of posting Tuesday and Friday, I'll be posting Monday and Friday as now I'll have weekends off for the most part. Anyways, on to the post!

I am currently obsessed with this sweater that I just purchased from bebe. This mixed texture sweatshirt is comfortable and lightweight which is absolutely perfect for this time of year. While we're just switching over to spring weather some days are a bit chilly so I need to stay warm but not anything all that heavy. I first fell in love with this sweater when I saw the different prints on it; the chest is covered in textured polka dots while the sleeves have this very cool zig-zag/swirl design going on. Plus it has a unique shape which they describe as "boxy" on the website. In my opinion, the different shape has brought the armpits a bit lower and wider thereby also making the sleeves a bit wider until they meet just below the elbow. It's so unique and I am in love!

As this sweater has so much detail on its own I just paired it with a dark denim, a simple silver and black belt, and these cute ankle booties with cutouts on the side. Each piece has a unique cut to it which is what brings the whole look together. I'm also wearing my favorite winter bag here which is from the Coach Poppy collection. This crossbody has a drawstring instead of a traditional zipper closure which makes it a bit more fun.
