Want It Wednesday: Jaci Boutique

Jaci Boutique 1

I'm excited to welcome you all to the second installment of #WantItWednesday

This week is dedicated to some great finds from an online boutique based out of Texas. Jaci Boutique aims to provide trendy pieces for today's fashionista, and has a wide variety of options from more classic silhouettes to the most recent trend. Pictured above are a few things that I couldn't stop thinking about.

Starting with the jewelry, I love the different textures in the bracelet. The braided leather with the gold metal makes it casual enough to wear every day while maintaining an edgy and yet feminine appeal. Definitely great for the summer to mix and match with friendship bracelets and other leather/rope pieces.

The next piece I fell in love with was the necklace, simple and elegant. The green in the crystal isn't too overwhelming, but it's shine pops beautifully against the matte gold chain.

Sheer fabrics are one of my favorite trends for this season, and these black pants make it fun and easy to wear. The lining cuts off at the thigh giving your outfit some interesting detail. You can show off your legs a bit differently while still being covered up. This look can be dressed up with a blazer and heels or worn casually with a baggy tee and some metallic sandals. Definitely a piece that, while trendy, can be worn time and time again.

What I love about the last two pieces is the eyelet detailing. The dress has a classic shape with darting in the front and back making it great for both work and play. The peplum top, while it's been done time and again, suddenly has new life with it's square eyelet detailing.

And the best part for you all as my loyal readers.....

Happy Valentine's Day!

bebe zip racer crop top, bebe mesh panel pencil skirt, BCBGeneration nude pumps - similar here, J. Crew bracelet - similar here and here, vintage gold necklace, Lips - Portland Black Lipstick Co. in Undead Red

Happy Friday readers!! And happy Valentine's Day!

Whether or not you actually have a date for today, holidays are always a great reason to dress up. Personally, I love being festive and today is just an excuse to wear a ton of red and pink. Of course, I usually tend to wear a lot of black and my outfit choice for today is built around this super chic skirt from bebe. I love pencil skirts, but I've seen them so many times that it can get a bit old. When I spotted this one I just KNEW I had to have it! The mesh panel adds some edge to this classic look. I love pieces like this because they silhouette will never go out of style but it still has a modern touch.

I paired the skirt with this red crop top from bebe to get in the spirit, and so as to not compete with the bright shirt I chose these nude pumps from BCBGeneration. I am in love with these shoes! I wore them for my birthday and they just feel so good on my feet! To complete the look and add some detail and sparkle, I added a diamond stretch bracelet and a vintage gold necklace. I love the way gold looks with red,  plus there is a cute gold zipper that runs down the back of the top and these accessories accent that.

What does your Valentine's Day outfit look like? Tell me about it in the comments below, and as always thanks for reading!

All Black Everything With A Pop of Gold

American Rag Faux Leather Peplum Top - seen here, H&M faux fur vest - seen here, bebe basic legging, Loft flats - similar here, gold belt from a dress - similar here, vintage necklace

Happy Wednesday my lovely readers!

This weeks post is an outfit that I wore to work the other day. I wanted to dress up but still be warm enough to survive this week of snow storms, if you haven't heard the NorthEast keeps getting hit with snow storms :(

I paired this cute peplum top with my faux fur vest to both stay warm and hide the fact that this top doesn't quite fit me around the shoulders. (Quick tip: when it comes to items that don't quite fit right but you're not sure about hemming, layering is a super easy way to hide the imperfections and get creative with your looks!)

I really wanted this necklace to stand out with this look, hence the black on black on black. It belonged to my grandmother and I found it while rummaging through some things of hers that I had. I thought it was super chic and modern but loved that it was vintage! I added the gold belt, which came with a random dress, to make the color pop a bit more. A quick sock bun, some black flats, and my go-to black and gold watch completed this look.

How do you make your focal pieces pop? Let me know in the comments below<3

As always, thanks for reading!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Uniqlo Heat Tech shirt, bebe maxi skirt, bebe mesh spike statement necklace - similar here, h&m swallow stretch belt - similar here

Hello and happy Black Friday!! Today's post details what I wore for Thanksgiving dinner yesterday :)

When I think of Thanksgiving, I think of autumn leaves and all of the beautiful colors of the season and this skirt was the first piece that came to mind. I am in love with maxi skirts, they are beyond comfortable, easy to wear, and they dress up any outfit. I paired it with one of Uniqlo's heat tech shirts, so warm and comfortable. The technology is truly amazing and will help keep you warm on even the coldest of winter nights. To make the look more cohesive I wore my h&m swallow stretch belt and completed the look with my mesh and spike necklace from bebe. I love the necklace because it's unique in design and is both silver and gold so it goes with all of my jewelry.

While this is the season to dress up for family get togethers, it is the time spent with loved ones that truly makes this time of year special. Treasure the moments you spend with friends and family, even beyond the holiday season so that you have memories for a lifetime :)

The Visit: Dressing Up a Jumpsuit

bebe jumpsuit, H&M blazer also seen here, bebe necklace seen here, Kelly & Katie heels also seen here

Hello my lovely readers! In today's post I am all dressed up for a big visit! As I've mentioned before, I work in retail and today a group from corporate was supposed to visit. For this occasion I wanted to choose something a little outside of my comfort zone that I could experiment with. The focus of the look, this super fitted jumpsuit with mesh cutouts. In all honesty I would normally walk past something like this, but after seeing it on a client I knew I had to give it a try. The look is beyond comfortable because it's made from a ponte, a fabric I've grown to love since interning with designers in the city. To make the look more refined, and to step away from the catsuit look, I paired it with my favorite H&M blazer, a fringe necklace to cover the mesh neckline, and simple black heels. I'm planning on using this jumpsuits for one of my birthday outfits in the upcoming months!

What are your opinions on jumpsuits and how do you like to style them? Let me know in the comments below!

Thanks for reading!!! <3

Styling Sweats: Loungewear Done Right

H&M blazer, bebe topUniqlo sweatpants, vintage necklace, Call It Spring shoes - also seen here

Hello all! My apologies for being MIA this past week, but I'm back and ready to blog! Today's outfit post is a quick going out look I threw together that'll keep you warmer during these cooler months. You might be questioning my use of the term "warmer" since I'm shamelessly wearing a crop top, but believe it or not this outfit does exactly that. These lounge pants from Uniqlo, while light, definitely keep my legs nice and toasty and despite the length of the crop top, it's made from a knit so it's basically a mini sweater. To add some structure to this look, I paired my white H&M blazer. ;I completed the look with my basic black booties and a vintage necklace that belonged to my grandmother.

I hope you like the look! Tell me all about how you stay warm and chic during these winter months in the comments below! As always, thanks for reading!!

Geometric Blues

bebe top, H&M pants - similar here, Loft flats - similar here and here, necklace and bracelet both belonged to my grandfather

Hi all! How's your October faring? If you're anything like me you're anxiously awaiting and preparing for Halloween! Thankfully it's just a few days away, and so is a Halloween inspired post! In the meantime, here is an outfit I'm eager to show you!

Today's look is entirely based around the pants. I purchased this beauty from H&M, I'm in love with the geometric print and how bright that blue is! Absolutely perfect for fall as this color is everywhere this season. I paired it with a simple off-white blouse from bebe and black flats from the Loft. When it came to accessories I chose these beautiful handmade turquoise pieces. They belonged to my grandfather who used to love the color and even made some jewelry finding inspiration in Native American culture. I thought these pieces were so unique and that the colors paired well with the pants.

As always, thank you for reading!! <3

Autumn Awakening: Striped Sweater & Leather Accents

pēlle moda leather jacket - similar here and here, Superdry crew sweater, Cotton On skirt, Calvin Klein tights, Call It Spring booties, bracelets from childhood, ring from friend, J. Crew necklace

For today's look I wanted to put together an outfit that I had worn to class around this time last year. It's a simple look that can be dressed up a bit more with heels, but is still casual enough for your day time activities. I paired this Superdry top with a simple grey cotton skirt, some black tights to keep me warm, and I added texture with my quilted leather jacket and faux leather booties. To add some shine to the look, I wore a set of gold bracelets that my grandmother gave to me as a child, a simple skull ring (you'll soon learn that I have an obsession with skull accessories), and my J. Crew necklace. As the weather changes it's important to stay warm, but that doesn't mean you can't look cute doing it!

Thank you so much for reading!!
