Lady In Red

Jacket :: bebe similar style here

Midi skirt :: Closet from Asos

What I wore to work this past Friday...

It's never too cold for a crop top. Despite the dropping temperatures, a high waisted bottom makes the outfit more appropriate for both the weather and the work environment.

Don't be afraid to wear a single color from head to toe. Obviously an all white or all black look is a staple, but try mixing things up and wearing a brighter color. Step outside of your comfort zone and try something new :)

Sweater Weather

Sweater :: Loft
Dress :: similar style here
Boots :: Sam Edelman

It's getting terribly cold in the northeast and that means it's finally sweater weather. For this look I layered a strapless dress with a sweater and wore some knee high boots. It's fall days like these where layering is best because mornings are freezing and the days get a bit warmer than anticipated. Do you have a favorite way to wear your sweater at the start of fall? Let me know in the comments below!

Want It Wednesday: Vegas Getaway

As a part of this week's Want It Wednesday, I've been given the opportunity to style a few looks for a fun trip to the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

I don't know about you, but so many people I know have been visiting Vegas and it is making me crave a getaway like crazy. If I could go right now, the Cosmopolitan would definitely be one of my top picks with so many different restaurants to offer as well as a great nightlife.

Below are two looks that I think would transition well throughout a day at the Cosmo, because in all honesty you would probably either find me poolside, eating, or partying haha

Details of all of the fun places I mention can be found here

Now go checkout #MyCosmoStyle and let me know what you would bring on this fun getaway ;P

Lounging Poolside

While in Vegas you NEED to have a fabulous look when you're poolside. I paired this cute mix n match bikini with a body chain, some cute shades, and a funky mesh cover-up for when I've had enough sun.

I chose two shoe options: the flat Birkenstocks for a lazy day poolside and the cork wedges for hanging out at the Marquee Day Club where DJs keep the party going as long as the sun is up.

Night out at the Cosmo

During a dream vacation at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, you need to be prepared to keep the party going. This look could easily take you from a nice selection of tapas at Jaleo to a night of partying at the Marquee Night Club or a more tame night at The Chandelier, a tri-level bar/club that offers a different atmosphere on each floor.

I have to say that I am so in love with this H&M dress that I will probably be snagging it for myself shortly. With a deep v neckline at the back it definitely is a sophisticated sexy.

Monday Blues

Somehow it's Monday again, and I am still desperately wishing I was back on vacation. My desire to be comfortable and relax is definitely being channeled in today's outfit.

Some light track pants, a baggy white tee, and a denim button down paired with a statement necklace and strappy heels make for the perfect balance of comfortable and stylish.

Want It Wednesday: Jaci Boutique

Jaci Boutique 1

I'm excited to welcome you all to the second installment of #WantItWednesday

This week is dedicated to some great finds from an online boutique based out of Texas. Jaci Boutique aims to provide trendy pieces for today's fashionista, and has a wide variety of options from more classic silhouettes to the most recent trend. Pictured above are a few things that I couldn't stop thinking about.

Starting with the jewelry, I love the different textures in the bracelet. The braided leather with the gold metal makes it casual enough to wear every day while maintaining an edgy and yet feminine appeal. Definitely great for the summer to mix and match with friendship bracelets and other leather/rope pieces.

The next piece I fell in love with was the necklace, simple and elegant. The green in the crystal isn't too overwhelming, but it's shine pops beautifully against the matte gold chain.

Sheer fabrics are one of my favorite trends for this season, and these black pants make it fun and easy to wear. The lining cuts off at the thigh giving your outfit some interesting detail. You can show off your legs a bit differently while still being covered up. This look can be dressed up with a blazer and heels or worn casually with a baggy tee and some metallic sandals. Definitely a piece that, while trendy, can be worn time and time again.

What I love about the last two pieces is the eyelet detailing. The dress has a classic shape with darting in the front and back making it great for both work and play. The peplum top, while it's been done time and again, suddenly has new life with it's square eyelet detailing.

And the best part for you all as my loyal readers.....
