Customized Bomber ft. eShakti

Bomber Jacket :: c/o eShakti
Tank Top :: Forever 21
Jeans :: bebe similar here
Heels :: BCBGeneration similar here

Have you ever had an issue while shopping, trying to find the perfect fit item that you're absolutely obsessed with? I know more often than not I'll love an item on the hanger, but something about how it sits on my body may not be right.

Obviously this is part of shopping 101, try on EVERYTHING, but what are you supposed to do when you can't? eShakti has a great selection of clothing that you can customize in both cut and fit so you know you'll love an item the second you see it.

When selecting an item, you can adjust things such as the neckline (whether you want a vneck, boat neck etc) as well as inputting your personal measurements to guarantee the perfect fit. I've linked this bomber to their website, and you'll notice that on the mannequin it hits at the waist. I prefer longer jackets but was so in love with the print and knew that if the length was adjusted it would be perfect. I also gave my measurements just to make sure that the jacket didn't sit awkwardly on me.

Now that I actually have the jacket, I am beyond thrilled. While I do wish that it was a bit warmer for the cold months ahead, the website does give specifics such as fabric content. I just knew I needed this jacket even if it's getting too chilly to wear on it's own, it's definitely great to have around the office.

Thank you so much eShakti for this lovely sample and be sure to click the links above to check out their selection!

Dressed Down

Top :: Club Monaco similar here
Pants :: New York & Co.
Sandals :: White Mountain
Bag :: The Upper House (gift with stay at hotel)

I don't know about you, but recently I've been into clothing that is a bit more dressed up. Despite this, I still have a tendency to want to dress looks down and stay true to my comfortable self. This look is all about taking a classic white pant and making it more wearable for your everyday life.

While I do maintain wearing a button down in this look, it is made from a softer cotton and has a print to make the look a bit more fun and playful. Instead of pairing heels or ballet flats with this look, I opted for a funky pair of strappy sandals. Continuing with the black and white theme, I topped the look off with a black leather tote. This look is super simply and comfy, and can be worn with the shirt tucked in or out (both options are pictured above).

How do you like to dress down your fancier pieces? Let me know in the comments below!

Structured Floral

H&M short jacket, Speechless dress - similar style here, Vince Camuto heels, Jones New York hoops - similar here, hamsa necklace purchased in Tzfat - similar here

Since it's finally starting to get warmer and my tree has finally bloomed, I had to take pictures in front of it - especially since my dress matches so perfectly :)

This past Sunday I went to a family friend's communion. I wanted to be dressed up for the occasion but I didn't want to be overdressed so I went with a cotton floral dress that I purchased for my frats first formal a few years back, it seems very "Easter Sunday" to me (although I know it's not easter lol). As it is a strapless dress, I paired it with this short blazer from H&M, my chunky Vince Camuto heels, and some silver jewlery.

Hope you like it, and as always thanks for reading!

Printed Floral Vest

vintage vest, bebe blouse - similar style here, H&M shorts - similar style here and here, We Who See heels from Urban Outfitters - similar here and here, vintage hat

Do you not love this vest? I've personally always had an attraction towards bright colors and crazy prints but this is just amazing! I've worn it just a few times before and liked it's unique look, but taking a full look at it on camera really makes me fall in love with it all over again. It previously belonged to my grandmother but I'm happy to make it a part of my own collection.

Since it is finally April and we've had a few straight days of warm weather here on the east coast, I was inspired to pull out some late spring attire. With such a bright and colorful vest I wanted a simple yet bright shirt to pair with it and I thought this pink one worked perfectly. Simple black dress shorts prevent this look from getting too crazy. I paired the outfit with grey heels to mix things up a bit and I like the detail that the hat adds, otherwise it just felt like the look was missing something. Overall I think it's a really fun look to try out whether you've got a casual day planned or are considering going to a festival.

Thanks for reading!!

Casual Day Look: Leather Wrap Watch & Printed Denim

H&M blazer - similar here, Loft tank top, Cotton On denim - similar here, Jessica Carlyle watch, BCBGeneration heels - similar here

Happy Friday!! You've all made it through the week which means the weekend is finally here and you can kick back and relax. Today's post is just a casual day look great for a simple dinner, happy hour with the girls, or (since it's got some green in it) some mid-day St. Patty's Day festivities.

The one piece that I really built this outfit around was the watch which was gifted to me for my birthday. Since it has a brown band I wanted to try to stay away from black BUT that's always next to impossible for me. Luckily I have these funky palm tree print jeans, the green goes great with brown and gold but I still get my black in the backdrop of the print. I kind of have an obsession with collecting clothes that have cool prints and any time I pass on something I deeply regret it SO of course I ended up with these. I paired the look with a deep green tank and a dark navy blazer. To keep things simple I topped the look off with some nude pumps.

As always, thanks for reading!
