Grunge Inspo: Plaid & Vintage Style Sweater

Heritage 1981 Sweater - similar here, Superdry USA lumberjack shirt, Bullhead Black denim from PacSun - similar style here, thrifted MIA shoes

Hello hello and happy hump day!! Today I decided to switch things up a bit on the blog and I had my friend Christine style me for today's post!

Since it's been snowing on and off for the last week or so, and with temperatures in the mid to low teens, her initial theme was to find something cozy and warm to handle this horrendous weather. After rummaging through my wardrobe she turned into more of a grunge-y direction pairing my plaid button down with this cute little mustard yellow cardigan. I love it because it's reminiscent of Mr. Rogers with elbow pads and cute little gold buttons. To bring out the color from the top she grabbed these red jeans from PacSun and completed the grunge look with these vintage thrifted hiking boot heels so I could channel my inner Daria/Jane Lane.

It was definitely fun playing dress up with her! She chose the entire look from the clothing to the minimalistic makeup. What do you think of the look? How would you dress someone if given the chance? Let me know in the comments below!

As always, thanks for reading!!

Birthday Weekend: Shiny Details & Peplum Mini

Hey all you lovely readers! Today's post is all about my birthday outfits! I officially turned 23 on Saturday and had a fabulous time dressing up and celebrating with my friends :)

Above are some pictures from my trip to Atlantic City this past weekend in a super cute neon lace bebe dress. Below is a simple look I wore for dinner and a night out.

In this look I paired a simple black peplum skirt with a basic white cropped tee-shirt and threw on my new lovely Vince Camuto heels. I am absolutely obsessed with chunky heels and had to grab them the second I saw them! A silver clutch and some cute mis-matched rings, seen below, add just the right amount of shine to finish off this look! Hope you like it!<3

Dreaming of Warmer Weather: Thailand Edition

Gap denim button down, Loft camisole in Lush Teal, drop waist pants from Thailand, H&M heels - seen here

Let me start off by apologizing for being MIA. The end of holiday season is rough working in retail and I was sent to a location to help close it down which has made my schedule a bit busier. I have to say that I am beyond happy to be back and look forward to working on tons of blog posts for you guys!

As some of you may know, currently in the Northeast we're experiencing some pretty cold weather. While I'm usually just as bundled up as the rest, if not more so, I couldn't resist but to do a post about these absolutely amazing drop waist pants that my friends bought for me in Thailand. If I can't be somewhere that's warm, I can certainly day dream about it!

Seriously, how cool is this print?! I paired these funky pants with a basic blue-green camisole, and a denim button down that I tied to show off the high waist on the pants. I threw on my cheetah print wedges because why not, it never hurts to experiment with how prints look together. And since I'm dreaming of warmer weather I just had to throw on this bubble gum pink lip by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics called "Anime".

Hope you like the look! To those of you in colder weather, stay warm! And happy new year to you all!
